House rules
Last updated: September 29, 2026
A few simple rules keep Reuse South County kind, safe, and useful. By posting, you're agreeing to these.
Asking or giving
- It's all free: no selling, no trading for money.
- Give only what's yours to give, and what's legal and safe to pass on.
- Pickup is from a porch or a public place. No one delivers, and no one comes inside.
- Your contact stays private. We never share your phone or email. For pickup, we share only the pickup address, and only after both neighbors say yes.
- A real person reviews and approves every match. AI can suggest, but no two neighbors are connected without a human saying yes, on purpose, for safety.
- Items are shared as-is, neighbor to neighbor. Use your own good judgment.
- If you commit to a pickup, follow through, and let us know if plans change.
- This is an early pilot. If something breaks or feels off, tell us. That's how it gets better.
Posting a garage sale
- Post only your own sale, at a place where you live or have permission.
- Sell only what's legal and safe: no weapons, recalled items, medicines, alcohol, or tobacco.
- Your address shows on the map only if you tick the box, and only until your sale ends. Your email or phone is never shown.
- We check every post before it goes up, and we may decline any post.
- Left with things at the end? Give them away free or donate them, so they stay out of the landfill.
- Shopping? Respect the posted hours, the neighbors, and their driveways.
